Interesting concept. Unfortunately the research article costs $30 to access for 2 days (boy do I miss being in academia), but they do leave this nugget in the abstract:

“Although solutions provided by problem solvers from analogous markets show lower potential for immediate use, they demonstrate substantially higher levels of novelty.”

What’s your take on balancing novelty vs. usefulness (or quality)?
